Prices for Quality Art Prints & Originals by Mejun Evans

Important Notes:

• Prices are all on the basis of "pick up" from the artist's residence.
• Originals and prints can be shipped to other addresses at the customer's expense  (Within NZ, allow approximately $25 for packaging and freight charges, depending on the destination.)
• Prices of originals are by negotiation
• Prices of prints obviously vary according to their size.  All are high quality prints on matte canvas.  Colour accuracy is very good.
• For purchase or shipping within NZ, they are normally stretched on an internal frame, ready for hanging.
• For convenient carriage in baggage overseas, they can be unframed and rolled inside a protective canister.
• Prints can be done on art paper. However, these are significantly more expensive, because they require glass and an external frame.
• Mejun personally checks the quality, and signs all prints (and also numbers them).

Various works are assigned to groups depending on their aspect ratio (width v height - or vice versa for portrait):

Group A

Works in this group have a ratio of 1.33 to 1 for width to height (landscape) or vice versa (portrait).
They include: Twin Oaks Drive, Rainbow Falls, Wainui Bay, and Hunua Falls

Group B

Works in this group have a ratio of 1.20 to 1 for width to height (landscape) or vice versa (portrait).
They include most of the works in the Totara Park series

Works in this group have a ratio of 2 to 1 for width to height (landscape).
They include:  Charlie's Rock (Kerikeri), Flaxmill Bay, Tawharanui Rock, and Clark Island (Whangamata)

Group D

Works in this group have a ratio of 3 to 1 for width to height (landscape).
These are:  Tawharanui Beach and Cliffs of the South Coast (Whangamata)

Group E (Square)

Works in this group have square canvases (equal width and height).
They are:  Secret Falls (Kerikeri) and Buttercup Glade (Totara Park)

Mejuns Thinking on Limited Edition Prints

Mejun has wrestled with whether or not to make prints of her art works 'limited edition'.

• She appreciates that this can help maintain the resale value for those who buy them, and that some of her customers may want this.
• She would need to sell limited edition prints at a higher price, which makes them less affordable for ordinary households
• Mejun likes the idea of her prints going into the homes of more ordinary people, for their enjoyment
• She prefers that her prints and originals should be bought for the pleasure they give, rather than the motive of investment potential. (Mejun acknowledges that there may need to be a bit of both for originals - and is fine with this.)
• She accepts that some works will be more popular, and there may be little demand (or even none at all) for prints of a few of them.

For now at least, Mejun has decided that she will not set any limits on the number of prints that will be produced for any work. However, she numbers and signs every print that she sends away.
